About Us

WHY WE CARE

Empowering local communities to shape better neighbourhoods

Neighbourhoods are where we make our homes, raise our children, spend our dollars, and experience being part of something bigger.  But despite our best design and planning efforts, more than 60 per cent of Australians say they never speak with their neighbours and 40 per cent do not know their neighbours at all.

CoDesign Studio is a design and placemaking consultancy that is out to fix this. We help local and state government, developers and communities quickly transform any place into a space people love. Using the principles of community-led placemaking and tactical urbanism, we developed a low-cost, high-impact approach to neighbourhood building that enables our clients to reinvent a neighbourhood in 90 days, engaging local communities to create thriving places.
